# DAQ-M User Manual

The DAQ-M is a modular spectroradiometer containing a long lasting battery, internal memory storage and a Bluetooth (BLE) radio for communication. The integrated, cosine-corrected spectroradiometer records the changing ambient light spectrum (340 - 1010 nm) in irradiance (W/m2**·**nm) as often as 1Hz. DAQ-M also contains a USB port for recharging its removable Li-ion battery, a green/red LED status indicator and a power on/off switch.

Using our [MAPIR SCANNER](/daq/daq-m/scanner-application.md) application on your mobile device you can connect to any nearby DAQ-M. The SCANNER application allows you to assign unique names to each DAQ-M, adjust the sensor settings, view measurements in real time, record individual measurements, schedule time-lapse/interval measurements and save measurements to your mobile device for later processing.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://mapir.gitbook.io/daq/daq-m/readme.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
