# DAQ-M User Manual

The DAQ-M is a modular spectroradiometer containing a long lasting battery, internal memory storage and a Bluetooth (BLE) radio for communication. The integrated, cosine-corrected spectroradiometer records the changing ambient light spectrum (340 - 1010 nm) in irradiance (W/m2**·**nm) as often as 1Hz. DAQ-M also contains a USB port for recharging its removable Li-ion battery, a green/red LED status indicator and a power on/off switch.

Using our [MAPIR SCANNER](https://mapir.gitbook.io/daq/scanner-application) application on your mobile device you can connect to any nearby DAQ-M. The SCANNER application allows you to assign unique names to each DAQ-M, adjust the sensor settings, view measurements in real time, record individual measurements, schedule time-lapse/interval measurements and save measurements to your mobile device for later processing.
