# Reset Mode

The DAQ-A is constantly writing to disk when measuring from its sensors, so there is a chance that if it is interrupted during the write action it might corrupt the disk enough to keep it from loading. Not to worry, a quick reset is all it typically needs:

#### How to Enter Reset Mode:

1. Hold down the button of the DAQ-A and connect to power. Keep holding down the button.
2. The DAQ-A will boot up, you may see the button turn white, then red. Or no white and just red.
3. When you see the button turn blue, it will pulse for 10 seconds. Keep holding down the button.
4. After 10 seconds the button will briefly turn yellow during the reset.
5. When the reset is finished it will flash green and reboot.
6. It should now start normally. If it doesn't please contact MAPIR support for assistance.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://mapir.gitbook.io/daq/daq-a/reset-mode.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
