# Using the Data

The light sensor data from the DAQ-M is used in two ways:

## [Analyze Scans of Objects to Build a Reflectance Signature Library](/daq/daq-m/using-the-data-in-mcc/analyzing-scans-in-mcc.md)

Done in **MAPIR Camera Control (MCC)** — view and graph your scans, and calibrate them to percent reflectance to build a reflectance signature library for object identification.

## [Calibrate Multispectral Images to Percent Reflectance](/daq/daq-m/using-the-data-in-mcc/processing-images-in-chloros.md)

Done in **Chloros** — use the DAQ-M's ambient light log to correct Survey3 and LATTICE images for percent reflectance as the lighting changes over time and location.
