# LATTICE User Manual

LATTICE is a modular multispectral camera system. Small, waterproof GigE Vision camera modules capture calibrated spectral imagery on their own or combine into synchronized arrays of up to 12 bands. Two module types are available:

* **M3C (color)** — a Bayer color sensor behind a triple-bandpass filter. One camera delivers **3 calibrated spectral bands from a single exposure**.
* **M3M (mono)** — a monochrome sensor behind a single narrowband interference filter. One camera delivers **1 calibrated narrowband**; multiple M3M cameras are combined in an array for indices.

## Key capabilities

* Global-shutter Sony IMX265 sensor (3.2 MP, 12-bit)
* Single-cable operation — power, data, and control over one PoE GigE Ethernet cable
* IP67 anodized aluminum housing with sealed lens tube
* Inter-module trigger synchronization under 100 µs via the M8 sync harness; PTP (IEEE 1588) time-stamps across cameras and DAQ-E sensors
* Per-camera NIST-traceable radiometric calibration with certificate (3.5–4.0 % uncertainty, k=2)
* Auto-discovery and processing in Chloros, with DAQ light-sensor integration for percent-reflectance output

## Model naming

Every camera stores its model string in the camera's `DeviceUserID` as `<sensor>-<lens>-F<filter>`. Chloros displays it with the `LATT-` prefix, for example `LATT-M3C-L41-FRGN` or `LATT-M3M-L87-F550`.

| Component | Values                                           | Meaning                                                       |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Sensor    | `M3C` / `M3M`                                    | Bayer color / monochrome                                      |
| Lens      | `L87` / `L41`                                    | Horizontal field of view in degrees: L87 = wide, L41 = narrow |
| Filter    | `FRGB` `FRGN` `FOCN` `FNGB` (M3C), `F<nm>` (M3M) | M3C triple-bandpass options; M3M narrowband center wavelength |
