Below we have listed some guides to help you use your Survey3 PRO:
For outdoor applications where a small hole in the ground is possible a ground screw is an ideal way to mount a vertical pole. Made of hardened steel and painted with a durable finish the large screw anchors a pole securely even in sand and snow. Using the installation rod to twist the screw into the ground allows installation in minutes.
A telescoping pole is a compact and convenient way to provide an adjustable vertical mount for cameras, GNSS and light sensors. Our telescoping 3 meter pole works perfectly with our ground screw pole anchor to provide a stable mount from 20 - 118 inches (50 - 300 cm) above ground level. Easily adjust the vertical height by counter rotating any pole section. The larger diameter carbon fiber tube design helps hold your equipment securely overhead.
Determine where you want to insert the anchor into the ground. Choose ground that is firm for a more secure hold. Insert the turning rod into the anchor. Push down as you turn the anchor and screw it into the ground. Once all the screw threads are below the surface you can choose to stop turning at any time. The further into the ground the anchor is the more secure it will be.
Insert the telescopic pole all the way into the anchor and turn the side screws until the pole is securely held at the angle you prefer (usually straight up). The silicone grip of the pole provides a squishy and secure hold, and the wide interior base provides ideal support.
Attach your Survey3 PRO and related equipment to the top of the pole. Extend the pole upwards to your desired height. Twist the pole sections in opposite directions to tighten it at any height.
